Dwaine Rieves, MD, FCCP is a Premier Expert consultant with expertise in drug and biological product development, diagnostic imaging drug development, regulatory strategies, and the medical subspecialties of hematology, critical care medicine, radiation medical countermeasures and pulmonary medicine. Dr Rieves, who retired from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 2013, has extensive agency experience including Director, Division of Medical Imaging Products (CDER), Director, Division of Medical Imaging and Hematology Products (CDER), and Chief, Clinical Trials Branch, Division of Clinical Trials and Analysis, Office of Cellular and Gene Therapy (CBER). Prior to the FDA he held positions as Medical Officer/Staff Physician and Senior Staff Fellow, Pulmonary Branch, National Heart Lung and Blood Institute, National Institutes of Health (NIH), and as Assistant Professor and Director of the Medical Intensive Care Unit, University of Mississippi Medical Center/Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Dr Rieves received his MD from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine (magna cum laude).
